Wouldn’t it be nice to have a place where you can request prayer, perhaps anonymously? If you have it on your heart to pray for your family/fellowship, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get a list of requests easily? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to see God’s(YHVH) handiwork in the form of answered prayers? Do you want an easy way to keep track of all those prayer requests?
The Prayer Request Forum.
Requesting prayer: The webmaster can provide an online form where you may fill out a prayer request. Also an email address may be provided for submitting requests. (for example: prayer@yourdomain)
These requests will then be placed on a webpage for members to see. These webpages can be setup to require a username and password to view if desired. This will limit viewing/requests to only forum members.
Request timeframe: When you fill out a prayer request, you should also provide a timeframe for the life of the request. (suggested default of one month) This way any older requests can be cycled out/ obsoleted appropriately. Some requests may be indefinite, while others have a definite timeframe.
Answered prayer: A separate section can be provided for submitting/viewing answered prayers. This way we can share with all what God(YHVH) has done for us and to provide encouragement for the body.
Possible forum enhancements: Auto responders to everyone on the forum when a new request has been added. Automatically have the prayer requests updated online as soon as they are entered.
