Keeping the Feasts (1-2-3)

The Biblical Feast Days, are they for us today? It is as simple as: 1-2-3

1. Obey Yeshua: John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.

What commandments? Rom 7:12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.

We shouldn't try to separate Yeshua (Jesus) and YHVH (the LORD), they are one: Isa 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

2. Joined to Israel

Who is a Jew? Rom 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

OT- gentiles joined in: Exod 12:48-49 And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is home born, and to the stranger that sojournes among you.

NT-Same thing: Eph 2:11-13 Why remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made near by the blood of Christ. Eph 2:18-19 For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

We can consider ourselves of Israel, hence, commandments to Israel=commandments to us.

3. Commands forever:

"Gods" Feasts... Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.

How long is forever? Exod 12:17 And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

FOT mentioned in the future: Zech 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
