Law of Sin

Take a small ball in your hand, now drop the ball, it will fall to the ground because of the Law of Gravity. (Catch it as it bounces back up toward you.)

What is sin?

(1John 3:4) Whoever commits sin also transgresses the law. For sin is the transgression of the law.

Continue to drop and catch the ball. The law of sin and death is like the law of gravity. It is a constant, it does not change. The ball hitting the ground symbolizes death.

(Rom 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of YHVH; (the LORD)

(Ezek 18:4) Behold, all life is Mine; as the life of the father, so also the life of the son is Mine, The soul that sins, it shall die.

(Rom 6:23) For the wages of sin is death;…

YHVH’s Solution.

Now drop the ball with one hand and catch and hold it with the other before it hits the ground. (Symbolizing Yeshua’s (Jesus’) intervention in the law)

(Rom 6:23)… but the gift of YHVH is eternal life through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

(John 3:16) For YHVH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(1John 1:9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

YHVH’s grace, pays the penalty, and holds the ball, so are we now free to sin?

(Rom 6:1-2) What should we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Certainly Not! How can we, who are dead to sin, live any longer in it?

(Heb 10:29) How much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy of? Who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and to insult the Spirit of grace.

Now let the ball drop to the floor and leave it there. This is the same as continuing in sin and trampling the blood.

In some cultures if someone saves your life you are indebted to them the rest of your life.

(1Cor 6:20) For you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify YHVH in your body, and in your spirit, which are both YHVH's.

(1Cor 7:23) You are bought with a price; do not be the servants of men.

(1Cor 6:19) … know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of YHVH, and you are not your own?

Think about this concept. Yeshua died in our place so that we can live. We are "owned".

Now pick ball back up.

Do we live a life of gratitude for Yeshua’s intervention in the law of sin and death?
Are we striving to eliminate any sin in our lives?

(John 14:15) If you love Me, keep My commandments.
