Seeking YHVH (the LORD)

(Prov 8:17) I love those who love me; and those who seek me early will find me.

(Amos 5:4) For so says YHVH to the house of Israel, Seek Me, and you will live.

(2Chr 7:14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

(Jer 29:12) Then you shall call on Me, and you will go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

(Jer 29:13) You shall seek Me, and find [Me], when you search for Me with all your heart.

(Jer 29:14) I will be found by you, says YHVH. I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says YHVH; I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

*Faith: THE KEY (building faith = seeking YHVH)

(Heb 11:1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Example: Atoms: (faith in atoms, evidence of what we don’t see)

Supercollider – atomic particles examined by their trails

*Prayer: answered prayer builds faith

(1Thess 5:17) Pray without ceasing.

*Reading scripture: learn about YHVH / scripture that "jumps out" at us

(2Tim 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of YHVH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

*Miraculous: Events of supernatural intervention, safety in dangerous circumstances, perhaps when we should have died etc. These things are evidence of the unseen.

Coincidence, fortunate, lucky… These are terms that discredit YHVH and do not show faith. We should eliminate these from our vocabulary.

(Ps 28:7) YHVH is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise Him.

(Ps 115:9) O Israel, trust in YHVH. He is their help and their shield.

*Importance of testimonies / encouragement: to build faith

(1Thess 3:2) We sent Timothy, our brother and fellow worker for YHVH in the gospel of Messiah, to strengthen you and encourage you about your faith,

(Rev 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to death.

*Listen: still small voice

(1Kgs 19:12) After the earthquake a fire; but YHVH was not in the fire. After the fire a still small voice.

(Isa 30:21) Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk you in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.

(John 10:27) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

*Thoughts, Words, Actions: Is YHVH ever present in every thought, word, and action?

(2Cor 10:5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Messiah;

(Matt 12:36) But I say to you, That every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

(Matt 16:24) Then Yeshua (Jesus) said to His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

*Service: serving others = serving Yeshua

(Matt 25:40) And the King will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done [it] to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done [it] to Me.

(Jas 2:20) But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

(Are we faithful to YHVH?)

(John 12:26) If any man serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will also be. If any man serves Me, My Father will honor him.

*Die to self: This means to put aside our fleshly will and desires for His.

(Mark 8:34) And when He had called the people to him with His disciples, He said to them, Whoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

(Rom 12:1) I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of YHVH, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to YHVH, which is your reasonable service.

*Conclusion:

I encourage you all to seek YHVH and to share testimonies of finding Him with each other to encourage each other and to build our faith in Him.
