Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.

The Spirit Realm - Part III

In this issue we will continue to explore more of the unseen (spiritual) realm. In particular the obedient angels in fulfilling their role in God’s Kingdom.

For fear not

1John 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;

Angels serve as a supernatural means of communication between God and man.

For the purpose of direction, for encouragement and for revelation.

Sometimes seen of man

Heb 13:2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Bright and glorious

Dan 10:5 I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a certain man dressed in linen, whose waist was girded with a belt of pure gold of Uphaz. 6 His body also was like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a tumult.

Causing trembling

Luke 1:11 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense. 12 And Zacharias was troubled when he saw him, and fear gripped him.

Obedient and strong

Ps 103:20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!

Even ministered to Yeshua (Jesus)

Luke 22:43 Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.

Matt 26:53 "Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? (6,000 X 12 = 72,000)

The important role Angels play in administering the rule of our God and King

Matt 24:31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and will then recompense every man according to his deeds.

Matt 25:31 " When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

Yeshua’s personal assistant

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must shortly take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,

Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star."

Col 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

Angels as the sons of God

Ps 29:1 LXXE Bring to the Lord, ye sons of God…

Ps 29:1 ESV Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings [sons of God or sons of the Mighty One]

And His Council

Job 1:6 NKJV Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Same verse - different translations

Ps 82:1 CJB Elohim stands in the divine assembly; there with the elohim , he judges:

Ps 82:1 LBP GOD stands in the congregation of angels; he judges among the angels.

Ps 82:6 NAS I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. 7 Nevertheless you will die like men, And fall like any one of the princes." (See LXXE)

From John

Rev 4:4 And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting

Rev 4:6 … and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.

The Angels in Revelation (Also see section below)

They make a difference - Amen

The Scripture verse for this MEM is:

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches" Rev 3:22

Proverbs 1:23 "Turn to my reproof, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you."

Yet some do not listen (or pay attention)

Proverbs 1:24 "Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; 25 And you neglected all my counsel, And did not want my reproof; 26 I will even laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your dread comes, 27 When your dread comes like a storm, And your calamity comes on like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come on you."

When they do not heed

Proverbs 1:28 "… they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me, 29 Because they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of the LORD. 30 They would not accept my counsel, They spurned all my reproof. 31 So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, And be satiated with their own devices. 32 For the waywardness of the naive shall kill them, And the complacency of fools shall destroy them."

Those that listen - will have security and peace

Proverbs 1:33 "But he who listens to me shall live securely, And shall be at ease from the dread of evil."

Listen to YHVH’s Spirit - Shalom

God speaks to Listeners

"God speaks to every soul of mam with His still, small, gentle voice. And what is more natural? If He is our Father, He will want to speak to us. If He loves us, He will want to tell us of His love. For love that remains unrevealed and unuttered is a torture. God speaks to all men, but His tenderest messages are for those who listen and wait in loving patience. How wise we might become, how our sad hearts would often times be comforted, if our attitude was like that of Hannah’s son, who, amid the silence of Shiloh’s ancient sanctuary, cried, "Speak, Lord, for Thy servant heareth.""

Did you know?

('lah-oos day-oh')

One detail that is seldom mentioned, is that in Washington, D.C. There can never be a building of greater height than the Washington Monument.

With all the uproar about removing the ten commandments, etc., this is worth a moment or two of your time. I was not aware of this amazing historical information.

On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., are displayed two words:  Laus Deo.

No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn't care less.

Once you know Laus Deo's history, you will want to share this with everyone you know. These words have been there for many years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise the District of Columbia, capital of the United States of America.

Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight and, one might think, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most successful nation in the world.

So, what do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four syllables and only seven letters, possibly mean?  Very simply, they say 'Praise be to God!'

Though construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848, when James Polk was President of the United States, it was not until 1888 that the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public. It took twenty-five years to finally cap the memorial with a tribute to the Father of our nation, Laus Deo, 'Praise be to God!'

From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure, visitors may take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its division into four major segments. From that vantage point, one can also easily see the original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles L'Enfant ... A perfect cross imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the north, The Jefferson Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln Memorial to the west.

A cross you ask? Why a cross?  What about separation of church and state? Yes, a cross; separation of church and state was NOT, is NOT, in the Constitution.  So, read on.  How interesting and, no doubt, intended to carry a profound meaning for those who bother to notice.  When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items including the Holy Bible presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God!  Such was the discipline, the moral direction, and the spiritual mood given by the founder and first President of our unique democracy 'One Nation, Under God.'

I am awed by George Washington's prayer for America ... Have you ever read it? Well, now is your unique opportunity, so read on!

"Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.

And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love MERCY, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.

Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

Laus Deo!

Lighter Side

What did you say?

Waitress: "Your glass is empty - do you want another one?"
Customer: "Why would I want another empty glass?"

To a bystander: "How do I get to the hospital from here?"
Bystander: "Just close your eyes and walk into the street. They’ll come and get you."

Caller: "Doctor! You have to help me. I’m shrinking!"
Doctor: "I’ll try to squeeze you in. But you have to be a little patient."

Hellen: "Were you surprised to find out you were color blind?"
Ellen: "I’ll say! The diagnosis came completely out of the yellow."

"I tried living in the future but I kept getting ahead of myself."

Life in Messiah

Are you adept at defending yourself? Some people take this matter seriously and devote time and effort and money to martial arts, developing strength and stamina and quick reflexes for combat. Others devote a similar effort to training with weapons. Yet do these things assure your safety? For who can be prepared for a sudden and unexpected attack by a skilled adversary? For you depend on defenses beyond your ability to perform. For God has assigned angels and charged them to watch over you. They are aware of dangers that you are not, and are never distracted. Even, and especially, the young and the weak can trust in the Lord for their defense.

The unseen Promise

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.

Blessed be YHVH (Genesis 14:20 And blessed be God Most High…)
