Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.

This Present Time

And

Wickedness in high places

We have examined the prophesied Prophet being Yeshua (Jesus). And the fact that the greatest end time prophecy is the Book of The Revelation. There are many other prophecies pertaining to end time events supported by the earlier prophets and when Yeshua walked this earth.

It is up to us to put the present time current events into the perspective of what is written in these prophecies to understand what in the world is going on - then we will find the strength and peace of Messiah to carry us through these trying times.

Peter tells us* that Judgement begins at the House of God (His "Church")

1Pet 4:7 NKJV But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

1Pet 4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

1Pet 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Remember we have been delivered from evil, and to daily praydeliver us from evil…

Eph 2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Because there are dark spiritual forces of wickedness in high places

Eph 6:12 (HNV) For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Wickedness - Webster 1828

WICKEDNESS, n. Departure from the rules of the divine law; evil disposition or practices; immorality; crime; sin; sinfulness; corrupt manners - Wickedness generally signifies evil practices.

(it is a heart condition)

Their inward part is very wickedness. Psalm 5.

In heart ye work wickedness. Psalm 58.

What about our times and the current events in the United States of America?

- Should the church be involved or concerned about their government?

- Do we believe the USA was founded on God’s principles?

- Is this Nation truly one nation under God?

- Is it, or should it be, a restraining power to wickedness?

- Does the kingdom of God, which will soon reign over all the earth, have any likeness or similarities to this governmental system?

- What is God’s Kingdom constitution?

- What will be its platform and policy?

- How does it apply justice?

- What should we do to prepare for His government?

We can know

Prov 8:17 "I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.

Matt 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness

John 5:30 "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

"What is all our histories, but God showing Himself, shaking and trampling on everything that He has not planted." Oliver Cromwell

To better understand the wickedness prevalent in our society today

What is the real problem?

Jer 17:9 " The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

The solution - God at work

Deuteronomy 8:2 "And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

Jeremiah 11:20 But, O LORD of hosts, You who judge righteously, Testing the mind and the heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them, For to You I have revealed my cause.

Proverbs 4:14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on. 16 For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.

Therefore, our prayer should always be

Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;

Psalms 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.

Jeremiah 10:24 O LORD, correct me, but with justice; Not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.

A few Biblical Characters with ruling authority

Joseph ruled in Egypt and spared Israel - A wise ruler

Gen 41:39 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are. 40 "You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you."

King Saul (civil) and Samuel (God’s judge) ruled in Israel but Saul failed

1Sam 13:11 But Samuel said, "What have you done?" … 13 And Samuel said to Saul, "You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God… 14 But now your kingdom shall not endure. The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."

Jeremiah (God’s Prophet) to the nations - concerning their wickedness

Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant."

Jeremiah 1:16 And I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me …

The Messiah (The Prophet) our coming King to us: (There would be a benefit to read all Luke 12)

Luke 12:15 (NAS) And He said to them, "Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed( form of wickedness)

Luke 12:31 But seek for His kingdom

Is He not speaking of His return here?

Luke 12:35 Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps alight. 36 And be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks.

Luke 12:40 You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect."

Faithful and wise stewards will rule (be in charge) with Him?

Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

Luke 12:44 Truly I say to you, that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

Judgement? Tribulation? What to expect in the latter days.

Luke 12:49 "I have come to cast fire upon the earth51 Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division…

Our Master’s message for today - consider… are we paying attention?

Luke 12:54 And He was also saying to the multitudes, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, 'A shower is coming,' and so it turns out. 55 And when you see a south wind blowing, you say, 'It will be a hot day,' and it turns out that way. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time? 57 And why do you not even on your own initiative judge what is right? 58 For while you are going with your opponent to appear before the magistrate, on your way there make an effort to settle with him, in order that he may not drag you before the judge, and the judge turn you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison. 59 I say to you, you shall not get out of there until you have paid the very last cent." (What do you think?)

David’s prayer about times of trouble and recompense to the wicked.

Remember David was a man after God’s own heart!

- This sounds a lot like the current events of our day.

Ps 10:1 Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? Why do You hide in times of trouble? 2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. 3 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. 5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. 6 He has said in his heart, "I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity." 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. 8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; In the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. 9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. 10 So he crouches, he lies low, That the helpless may fall by his strength. 11 He has said in his heart, "God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see."

Ps 10:12 Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. 13 Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, "You will not require an account." 14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

Ps 10:15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none.

Ps 10:16 The LORD is King forever and ever; The nations (heathen) have perished out of His land. 17 LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, 18 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more.

Wickedness is trying to destroy YHVH’s Kingdom - He will stamp it out!

Yes God, YHVH (The LORD), is in control - Trust Him - He has given His people all that is needed to be faithful, just and wise stewards - His Spirit.

Ps 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah.

Num 6:24 "The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; 26 The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." '

* The use of Us, Our or We will normally refer to those that are the People of God.

Proverbs

The Proverbs have much to say about

Wickedness

Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness…

Proverbs 12:3 A man will not be established by wickedness…

Proverbs 10:23 Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool…

Proverbs 13:6 … wickedness subverts the sinner.

Proverbs 11:5 … the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.

Proverbs 26:26 Though his hatred covers itself with guile,

His wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.

Therefore:

Proverbs 8:7 "…my mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Saying(s)

Old Vices and New

"Old vices have died but new ones have come. And the standard of human nature has been raised, and so our new vices are made hideous by the higher light in which they are all seen. No modern cities are as wicked as the old Sodom and Gomorrah, but they are deeply sinful and deeply unhappy as viewed in the higher light of these recent periods. The increase of light is an increase of problems up to a certain point of progress, and that point we have not yet passed." David Swing.

It appears that point has come!

Did you know?

My Son

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart, and he died instantly… He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home; he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'

But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'

Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh’s, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!'

But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting.' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

'We have $10, who will bid $20?'

'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'

'$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?'

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'

A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'

'What about the paintings?'

'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!'

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT' S LOVE

God Bless.

Lighter Side?

The 'Middle Wife'

By an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher

I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back.

When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So, I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever, place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater.

She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday.'

'First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord.'

(She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement.)

'Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. 'She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!'

(Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.)

'My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this.'

(Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.)

'And then, pop!  My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!'

'Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe. They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, suddenly, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, (placenta) so there here must be a lot of toys inside there. When he got out, the middle wife spanked him for crawling up in there.'

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another ' Middle Wife' comes along.

Life in Messiah

The Word cautions us against sin and to a lesser degree against vanity. We place more emphasis on sins of commission, but there are also sins of omission. In this life God has called us to one of meaning. He will not assign us a task that has no purpose. Consider the parable of the talents. The master was angry and called a servant wicked and slothful even though he returned all that had been given to him. This shows that we can be doing something wrong when we are doing nothing. It illustrates that growth is normal and expected. Engage the resources we have in obedience to the Almighty and joyfully watch them grow. (Adopted from a blog post by Dale Cresap)

"We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life when all we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about!"

"The enemy will not bother us as long as we do nothing!

Psalms

The State of the Wicked

Psalm 7:14 Behold, he travails with wickedness, and he conceives mischief, and brings forth falsehood.

Psalm 10:7 His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.

Psalm 36:3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

Psalm 36:4 He plans wickedness upon his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not despise evil.

Psalm 14:4 Do all the workers of wickedness not know… (They) do not call upon the Lord?

For Sure

Psalm 5:4 …Thou art not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with Thee.

Blessed be YHVH (Genesis 14:20 And blessed be God Most High…)
