Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.

The Prophecy Series

Part Seven

The Prophesied future for the Saints when Messiah Returns

What they will be doing and what they should be doing - now

Rev 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded (his trumpet): And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (NKJV unless noted)

Revelation 10:7

but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

(See also Dan 2:44; Revelation 11:15; Revelation 12:10; Daniel 7:13-14)

Messiah, At the Seventh Trumpet, will return to establish the Kingdom of God on this physical earth (this is referred to as the millennial reign of Jesus Christ). At that time the first resurrection will occur. This resurrection will be for all that faithfully followed the Creator’s plan for the restitution of all things. Scripture calls them The saints’. What will those ‘saint’ do during this 1000 year period?

Be sure He is Coming

2Thess 2:1

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him…

1 Thessalonians 1:10

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 2:19

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you (Saints) in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

1 John 2:28

And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

Zech 14:5

Thus the LORD my God will come, And all the saints with You.

Jude 1:14-15

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints…"

The First Resurrection of the Saints

Job 14:13

" Oh, that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me!

John 5:28-29

28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth -- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. (Two resurrections)

Isaiah 26:19

Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God (Seventh trumpet?). And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

1Cor 15:49

And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

Apostle Paul’s Resurrection commentary

1Cor 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen… 20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man (The Son of man - Yeshua The Messiah) also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

1Cor 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed -- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Matthew 25:34

"Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the Millennium = 1,000 Years

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished…

****

Now for the Saints

What will ‘They’ be doing?

Dan 7:18

'But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

Rev 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they (The saints) sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 …This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Dan 7:22

"until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.

Dan 7:27

Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

*******

Will the time of Messiah’s return be the Time to fight?

And have Judgment?

John 18:36

Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."

Revelation 17:14

"These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."

Revelation 2:26-27

26 "And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations -- 27 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels' -- as I also have received from My Father;

Jude 1:14-15

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

Psalms 149:5-9

5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute on them the written judgment -- This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!

1 Corinthians 6:2-3

2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

The Saints; redeemed by the Lamb

For a purpose

Revelation 1:5-6

Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Rev 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."

Be sure: the Words YHVH utters will come to pass

And the Resurrection of the Just to everlasting Life

Exodus 19:6

'And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

Revelation 3:21

"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Luke 22:28-30

28 "But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

Matt 19:28

So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Ezekiel 37:12-14 (NKJV)

12 "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 "Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 "I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,"

Matthew 25:46 (NKJV)

"And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

John 5:28-29 (NKJV)

28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 "and come forth -- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life

Dan 12:1-2

"… And at that time your people shall be delivered, Everyone who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Yet to come

After the Millennium the New Heavens and a New Earth

2 Peter 3:13

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Isaiah 65:17

" For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

Isaiah 66:22

" For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the LORD, "So shall your descendants and your name remain.

Revelation 21:1

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…

Rev 22:1-5

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

What should be our focus NOW?

Remember This

Matthew 20:16

"So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen."

Luke 21:36

"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Rev 12:10-11

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Matthew 6:33

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness

The purpose of Yeshua’s coming(s) is to end Satan’s works and restore all things.

In a Nutshell

"The main theme of the Bible can be summed up in the words Exile and Return. The Bible is the story of Paradise Lost and Paradise Restored. Man is exiled from Eden in the first few chapters of Genesis and restored to Paradise in the last few chapters of Revelation… These two great events serve as the bookends of man’s sin-filled history. Between these two bookends, each of us is either working toward the End of the Exile and the Restoration of Paradise, or wasting time and energy and resources that could be used to help bring about the restoration of all things."

Excerpt from Gates of Eden article Three Important Hebrew Words…’ by Daniel Botkin:

Rev 2:11

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." '

PROVERBS

The Saints Duty

YHVH’s word is true

Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

LIFE IN MESSIAH

"Most people have careers that allow for retirement at about the same age. Professional athletes usually retire much earlier because they compete against young people in their prime. Those who do physical labor may retire earlier than others, and those whose effort is mental may retire later. Yet there is no retirement age in the Kingdom of God. You may think you are productive only when you are earning a paycheck, but that is a concept of productivity from the world of commerce. You are called to let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father. You can do this at any age…"

"You live in a skeptical age and this mindset is prevalent enough that it is considered normal. From this you may infer that God considers unbelief to be abnormal. Messiah proclaimed a universal principle when He said, "Seek and you shall find". If you look for purely materialistic explanations for everything, you will find them, even if they are false. That is why He told us to, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God". For if you look for Him you will find Him, and see His handiwork and involvement in your life at every turn, and walk in a continually unfolding revelation of Jesus Christ."

Saying

Last End as well as First Cause.

"God is our Last End as well as our First Cause. God possessed, our own God, that is creation’s home, our last end, there only is our rest. Another day is gone, another week is passed, another year is told. Blessed be God, then, we are nearer to the end. It comes swiftly; it comes slowly, too. Come it must, and then it will be all but a dream to look back upon. But there are stern things to pass through, and to the getting well through them there goes more than we can say. One thing we know, that personal love of God is the only thing which reaches God at last."

F. W. Faber

DID YOU KNOW

Life is not when or then - it is now.

Change your thoughts, and you change your world.

A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.

Amazing

In one experiment, the researchers randomly combined objects with specific commands to test whether the pooch, named Chaser, would follow the right command with the right object.

Chaser responded to each combination correctly right away, suggesting that she understand that concept of categories.

She was taught that the word "toy" referred to all the 1,022 objects she was allowed to play with, while keeping the individual objects straight, and was able to add a third category like "ball" or "Frisbee" to the category-name combination.

- Am I willing to learn?

LIGHTER SIDE?

You can think without speaking, but don’t speak without thinking

It’s hard to climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets

There’s plenty of room at the top; there’s just no room to sit down

That’s funny; I don’t remember being absent - minded

The right attitude has a remarkable way of changing things for the better
