For His Glory!
STPAS What is STPAS? It is an acrostic for the main points taken from a prayer diary. They are the first letter from those points; a compilation from several weeks of diary entries. Our newer sections on "Prayer" and "Heart of God" are designed to encourage and lift-up; included are Scriptural accounts as well as some personal accounts. It is imperative that we prove all things from Scripture; verifying all we allow our mind to dwell upon. Before acting on any personal accounts make sure it is in accordance with YHVH’s Word. In some serious or difficult cases one should have them verified by two or three witnesses. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (NAS unless indicated) So how do we prove what God’s will is? 2Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. 1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (AV) Psalm 25:5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me: for you are the God of my salvation; on you do I wait all the day. (American King James Version - AKJV) John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. (AKJV)
So what is this acrostic? S = Seek God T = Trust in God P = be Productive (Creative - Industrious - Fruitful - Useful - Beneficial - Valuable - Practical) A = be Accountable (Answerable - Responsible) S = Share your blessings We could expound on each of these points - maybe in future issues - for now just ask the Holy One of Israel to impress on your heart and mind these principles. Ask Him, who says He will teach us, to lead when we study His Word - by listening to His Spirit. Paste this acrostic by your computer or in your place of activity. Let us evaluate ourselves daily. Do I have a relationship with the Eternal that glorifies Him? Am I a blessing to my mate, my family, and my neighbor? For this is the heart of God, STPAS. We humbly submit to Your will and purpose for all of mankind - YHVH our King. |
Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 21:25 The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work; Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer… Proverbs 3:28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you. It is interesting to find our acrostic in the Proverbs. Principles for all to live by.
Proverbs 1:1 The proverbs … (the purpose of) 2 To know wisdom and instruction… 3 To receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice and equity; 4 To give prudence to the naive, To the youth knowledge and discretion, 5 A wise man will hear and increase in learning… |
"Every man has to seek in his own way to make his own self more noble and to realize his own true worth." Albert Schweitzer Our acrostic (STPAS) is just part of man’s duty in our covenantal relationship with the Almighty. It will go a long way in realizing our true worth in the eyes of our Savior. Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? |

In our pursuit of humility: (Lesson from humility in daily life.) "True humility… no longer compares itself with others. It has given up forever any thought of self in God’s presence; it meets its fellowmen as one who is nothing and seeks nothing for itself; who is a servant of God and for His sake is a servant of all…The humble man looks upon every child of God, the most weak and unworthy, and honors him and prefers him as a son of the King. The spirit of Him who washed the disciples’ feet makes it a joy to be the least, to be servants of one another. " Andrew Murray We need to seek true humility to trust God to impart Yeshua’s humility that we might be about His business of reconciling others to Him. We are accountable, because of the spirit of humility, to conduct ourselves in a manner that is pleasing to Him by bearing fruit that brings Him glory - How? - By caring for those around us; which is expressed in a multitude of ways. James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Father, grant us a true spirit of humility that we too may be as Yeshua, the servant of all. |
Understanding the precepts of prayer. YHVH is Faithful to His Promises Genesis 25:21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.
Isaac was well aware of the promise to his father Abraham whose seed was to be as numerous "as the stars". Isaac had to wait twenty years for his sons (Esau and Jacob). He remained faithful - he did not take another to gain the promised heir. His faithfulness and subsequent prayer was rewarded; for indeed children are a gift from God. Poole Commentary: He prayed , as the Hebrew word signifies, instantly or fervently, frequently and continually, for near twenty years together… (calling for) the truth of God’s promise… and he knew very well that God’s purpose and promise did not exclude, but require the use of all convenient means for their accomplishment. For his wife ; or, in the presence of his wife; signifying that, besides their more secret devotions, they did oftentimes in a more solemn manner, and with united force, pray for this mercy wherein they were both equally concerned. (There seems to be a concurrence in the commentaries about their united effort in this prayer.)If we place our faith squarely on the promises of the Almighty praying earnestly, fervently, and continually we can be sure He will hear. Proverbs 15:29 The LORD … hears the prayer of the righteous. |
How does God feel about issues we face today? Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.Where have you placed your trust? In your own strength, possessions, money, other people? These things will let you down sooner or later. Only God will never let you down. His ways are not your ways, His thoughts not your thoughts, so you may not understand when He seems to let you down, but He never will. You need to trust that, believe that, and live like that. He will always be there for you. Trials are coming, you must be firmly rooted in Him so that you do not fail or shake or be up-rooted when the adversary attacks. It is not if, but when. Hold the faith, be strong. Your strength is in Him, not yourself. Lean on Him, rest in Him. Let not your heart be troubled. He is your peace. Don’t even worry about what may come. He will lead and guide you in paths of righteousness. He will protect your soul for your life is not the concern, only your soul, which is safe with Him. Do not hang on to this life too tightly for that gives satan a foothold to work fear in your life. Do not be concerned about this life. Look to Him. Material in this section is based on various prayer diaries. |
June '09 update on SHERIFF JOE
He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R Dun' kind of Sheriff. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY: Sheriff Joe Arpaio (In Arizona ), who created the 'Tent City Jail': Some of the material contained in this section is for informational purposes only and has not been verified by us. |
Forgetter Be Forgotten ?My forgetter's getting better, But my rememberer is broke To you that may seem funny But, to me, that is no joke For when I'm 'here' I'm wondering If I really should be 'there' And, when I try to think it through, I haven't got a prayer! Oft times I walk into a room, Say 'what am I here for?' I wrack my brain, but all in vain! A zero is my score. At times I put something away Where it is safe, you see! The person it is safest from Is, generally, me! When shopping I may see someone, Say 'Hi' and have a chat, Then, when the person walks away I ask myself, 'who was that? Yes, my forgetter's getting better While my rememberer is broke, And it's driving me plumb crazy And that isn't any joke. CAN YOU RELATE??? Please send this to everyone you know I DON'T REMEMBER WHO I SENT THIS TO!
Have a good day! |
Believe in miracles. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or did not do. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now. Growing old beats the alternative... Your children only get one childhood. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. |
Make your heart the temple of the Holy Spirit, so much so that every sacrifice you make upon its altar will be well pleasing to God. (Michael Boldea Jr.) |
Yesterday is history (learn from it) Tomorrow is a mystery (don’t worry about it) Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. Here is a test to see if your mission on earth is complete; if you are alive, it isn’t. (Richard Bach) Most smiles are started by another smile. Seeds I have a box of life that is slowly dying. That does sound dramatic but it is true. I have a box of seed packets that I never got around to planting. They came to me by different routes: some were bought with great expectations in mind; others were impulse buys and yet others were packets sent to me by mail or given to me. For whatever reason that I got them, I never followed through and planted them. So they slowly lost viability and died. I decided this year to plant all of them and see what happens. As I suspected, most of the herbs and flowers had zero germination. How sad. I wasted money and the possibility of something useful and beautiful. However I did have a couple of surprises. I have two seed starter trays that have long narrow slots in them, which you plant the seed in and after it sprouts, you remove the seedlings and transplant them to individual cells. Since I was not expecting my seed to have high germination, I started the entire seed packet in each slot. I had the entire package of five-year-old cherry tomato seeds sprout. I had about 150 plants in a foot long, inch wide space. Needless to say, I do believe I have enough cherry tomato plants for every person I know. The other thing that surprised me was that if the seeds were going to sprout, they did so almost immediately. The package would say how many days it would take the seed to germinate but it never took that long. One seed tray had seven varieties of marigolds planted in it and the shortest amount of germination time was five days. So I watered it, put the clear dome on top and set it aside. Two days later I looked at it and I had one solitary row of marigolds happily growing and not another thing. It was the one package that did not have a germination guideline on it and I had gotten it free in an advertisement. It was also only a year old. |
Psalm 29 1 Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array. 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful, The voice of the LORD is majestic. Awesome and powerful is YHVH - ascribe to Him honor and glory! 9 … And in His temple everything says, "Glory!" 10 The LORD sat as King at the flood; Yes, the LORD sits as King forever. He will be merciful to His people. 11 The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. It is our part to ascribe (credit, attribute) YHVH the glory He deserves. Almighty and Awesome yet He will hear our cry, He will strengthen and bless us with peace - that is His promise.Blessed be YHVH (Genesis 14:20 And blessed be God Most High…) |
